In Saint Petersburg, the first stationary round-the-clock city points for the reception of old car tires were organized at three Gazpromneft gas stations. LLC Premio Crumb (a tyre recycling company), the Gazpromneft gas station network and Smart Urban platform are the initiators of the project. Free reception of tires is carried out with the support of EcoTyresUnion!
Today, used tires can be handed over free of charge at three «Gazpromneft» gas stations in St. Petersburg, at the following addresses:
- Gas station No. 55, Pridorozhnaya alley, 28;
- Gas station No. 14, Leningradskaya street, 89
- Gas station No. 38, Potapova street, 7
It is planned to open new points in other areas of the city in May 2019.
All tires collected in containers will be sent to the «Premio Crumb» LLC plant for recycling into rubber crumb, which is used in the production of coatings for children’s and sports grounds, as well as for the manufacture of various rubber and technical products.
