On October 16, Anna Zakharova, legal counsel of EcoTyresUnion, took part in the round table: «Creating a system for OTR management in Kuzbass», which was held in Novokuznetsk as part of the III Siberian environmental forum. Anna made a presentation on «Integration of waste OTR recycling processes in Kuzbass in the all-russian program to encourage waste tyres recycling.»
For Kuzbass — the coal mining industry leader among Russian regions – OTR recycling is more than relevant. It is pleasant to emphasize that the region is actively engaged in the development of environmental programs, paying special attention to waste management. For example, the Kuzbass Association of waste processors has been successfully functioning for 10 years, and unites specialized waste management enterprises, and with the support of the administrations of the Kemerovo region and Novokuznetsk actively creates and implements projects in the field of waste management.
In her report Anna Zakharova described the activities of EcoTyresUnion, work principles, shared EcoTyresUnion progress and outlined the directions of development of the OTR recycling market, given the EcoTyresUnion experience in organizing programs for waste tyres recycling.
The presentations of the participants subsequently turned into an active discussion, in which each of the participants was able to express their proposals for the development of OTR recycling. The deep involvement of participants showed the high interest of the region in solving waste recycling issues. Certain steps have already been taken, and we are confident that the proposals formed as a result of the round table will become an important addition to the development of OTR recycling processes in Kuzbass.
